Post On Canvas: Post a Review of an article every week about the Internet, Computers, devices that use the Web, or will impact the Internet under  Discussions  >  Weekly Article Review
Make sure to include where you found the article (website or radio or TV or Youtube) and a brief description of the article

Post on Canvas: Find as many resources from Books, Website's, Magazines and TV Shows that will help you "Keep up to speed" in class. You should be able to find at least 10 different resources. (The more resources you find, the better the grade.) C|net Central and W3schools and Webmonkey are examples of the type of sites you should be looking for. Post this information on Canvas under Discussions > Resouces

Browser Review:

Review 3 Different Browsers and include a graphic of the browser plus a link to its site on the internet. Compare and contrast the browsers and be sure to make a recommendation plus justify why you choose that browser.

Post on Canvas under under Discussions > CSS Capabilities two CSS capabilities you found off of W3schools or another site. Make sure to give the URL of the page you found and describe the capability.

 

Website Review:

Find two Websites. One that you consider bad and one you consider to be excellent. I want a picture of the site, link and you need to tell me why you categorized them as being good or bad. You must be explicit as to why! Make sure your page validates!

You will need to create and personalize (make it pretty :-)  your homework page using CSS and adding graphics.  Make sure your page validates! 

Movie Review:

Rent, Buy or Borrow (Library or Friend) one of these movies: Ex Machina, HER, The Net, The Terminator series, Hackers, Sneakers, You've Got Mail, Avatar or ... I want a picture from the movie, link to where to find the movie (website or IMDB or Amazon.) Please include on your movie page how realistic the movie was and tell me if something like this could happen in real life! Make sure your page validates!

This Webpage will hold at least 3 graphics you modified from the web or created. Use a photo editor to make sure the graphics on the page are web appropriate (file size and dimensions.) Pay attention to the layout of the graphics on this page!!!

Info Form Page:

Create a form using several of the form objects shown in class. You should be trying to sell something with the form!  You need to make sure the layout is easy to read and pleasing to the eye. Make sure your page validates!

Post on Canvas under Discussions> YouTube Videos two videos. Your Favorite Video (include URL) and What is the Weirdest Video or Topic (include URL)

ChatGPT - AI:

Go to https://chat.openai.com/auth/login and get an account (if you don't already have one) I want you to ask the program Two Questions and post the results inside Canvas

1.    I want you to ask the program what the pros and cons of using ChatGPT are.  
2.    Have ChatGPT create a marketing text (or content) for your final project. 

Dreamweaver Page:

Create at least one Webpage using Dreamweaver that will "show off" your ability to use Dreamweaver (or another HTML editor) to create a Webpage.  The page will be judged on the layout of the page and needs to have graphics and links that work.    You can use a template but please let me know if you do! Make sure your page validates!

E-commerce Business in the next 5 years:

Post on Canvas under Discussions> Best E-commerce Business   what Business will have the biggest opportunity in the next 5 years.   Name the business and document why you think this will be the wave of the future. 

 

Final Website:

Your Final Project needs to be a complete website!

You need at least six web pages that you created for this project linked together with navigation to each page from every page on the site. You must follow all the rules for a good design that I identified during the semester. I prefer your site to be a real business or a business you want to start. You will learn more from a real-world project. 

Each page will be judged on the layout of the page, creativity plus visual appeal, and needs to have graphics and links that work. You can use Dreamweaver if you want plus a template (but please let me know about the template.) Make sure your page validates!
