Resources:

Find as many resources from Books, Websites, Magazines and TV Shows that will help you "Keep up to speed" or help you learn the material in class. You should be able to find at least 10 different resources. (The more resources you find, the better the grade.) C|net Central, YouTube tutorials, and Adobe Help Center are examples of the type of sites you should be looking for. Post this information on Canvas. If you find a site I haven't seen, you will get extra credit. Make sure to tell me what type of info is on these resources.

Name:

I want a picture of you.  Please add your name and modify it with a style.  Please ensure you can still read your name against the picture's background. Save as PSD and JPG. PSD can be any size, but JPG has to be under 100K!

Correct Picture:

Fix the linked picture using the techniques show in class and save as psd and jpg. (color and cracks) Remember PSD (keep all the layers) can be any size but JPG has to be under 100K!

Planet of the Apes:

Using pictures from my summer trip, recreate the Planet of the Apes picture using this picture and save as psd and jpg. Remember PSD (keep all the layers) can be any size but JPG has to be under 100K!

Where is Howard Now?:

Find a picture of an exotic location (except Vietnam ) and put Howard into the picture. Please make Howard easy to see so I can judge your ability to combine two pictures. Save as PSD and JPG. Remember PSD (keep all the layers) can be any size but JPG has to be under 100K!

Photoshop Alternative:

Please review 3 Photoshop alternatives. I need you to give me the pros and cons of each tool, plus tell me which one you recommend. Do you think the alternative is better than Photoshop?

Lion King:

Recreate the Lion King graphic using the lion.psd, lion1.jpg & lion2.jpg and save as psd and jpg. Remember PSD (keep all the layers) can be any size but JPG has to be under 100K!

Run for Office - Bumper Sticker:

Create a bumper Sticker (size wise) .The sticker should have your last name that looks patriotic (flag or similar) plus the office you want. (you can makeup an office.) 3.75 by 11.5 is a good size and save as psd and jpg. Remember PSD (keep all the layers) can be any size but JPG has to be under 100K!

Vector Lady:

Recreate the picture using the pen and shape tools. You will also have to use gradients on some of the objects. Save as psd and jpg. Remember PSD (keep all the layers) can be any size but JPG has to be under 100K!

Solar System:

Recreate the Solar System graphic using the Space & Man, Nebula, M31, Sun, Earth, Moon, Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune, Pluto, & a Comet and save as psd and jpg. Remember PSD (keep all the layers) can be any size but JPG has to be under 100K!

Animation:

Create an animation, and you can save as a .mp4 or .gif    Create your own animation, not the one I showed you how to do.

Check the Practice Video in the notes page for hints about this assignment. PSD and gif or mp4 can be any size! Please note, no jpg required for this assignment.

Logo:

You must create a logo for a team or product (Suns, Cardinals, Pumas, Car, airplane ..) and this logo needs to use the techniques we have learned to this point plus easily identifiable. Save as psd and jpg. Remember PSD (keep all the layers) can be any size but JPG has to be under 100K!

Generative Fill Modification:

Take a previous assignment and change it using the Generative Fill.  Please post the image before modification and the after picture.  Please save the final image as PSD and JPG.  PSD can be any size, but JPG has to be under 100K.

AI Generated Art:

Using an AI Program  (Stable Diffusion, Adobe Firefly, or  Similar Program), create a SciFi picture in the form (or style) of one of the master painters. Pablo Picasso,  Vincent van Gogh., Leonardo da Vinci or ...

Post the picture as a JPG, but don't worry about the file size.  

Final Project:

The goal of this assignment is to show me what you have learned in this class! You can create an advertisement poster for PVCC, fake movie poster with you as a character or an advertisement poster for a local sports team (you should post this on their fan site if you choose this option.) Save as psd and jpg. PSD & JPG can be any size!
