The Caped Crusaders
Batman - was introduced in 1939 by Bob Kane. Batman, the ultimate Caped Crusader is Bruce Wayne, whose parents
were killed, leaving him an orpahn to be rasied by Alfred, the Wayne's family butler at Wayne Manor.
Batman, without any super powers, uses his intellect along with his bat utility belt of gagets to fight crime, keeping the Honest
Citizens of Gotham City safe from villians.
Robin - is Dick Grayson, a circus performer whose family was killed when their trapeeze was sabotaged.
Bruce Wayne, who had lived through just such a tragedy himself, sympathized with the young boy and arranged for him to live in
Wayne Manor.
Bruce trained Grayson further and allowed him to join Batman's side as Robin, the Boy Wonder.
His costume was inspired by Errol Flynn's costume as Robin Hood.
Batgirl - is Barbara Gordon, daughter of Gotham City police commissioner James Gordon. She uses her costumed
identity to aid the Batman in his war on crime, not always with his approval.
When Barbara Gordon found out that Bruce Wayne was Batman, she decided to help him as the superheroine Batgirl.
She has all of Batman's "bat-" gadgets, as well as a few of her own. She is a master of martial arts and a expert acrobat.
In later incarnations, she is also an expert computer hacker. Instead of riding the Batmobile (which is designed for only
two people), she rides her own Batbike.
