The Terminator is a series focusing rather generally on machines being sent into the past in order to eliminate key targets, correct time loops, or prevent events from occuring in the past to either help or hinder the future. The Efficacy of this theme and the execution of it does fall apart somewhat due to where the series is now however the core of the movie, which presents an existential crisis of mankind falling to its own creations which have long outgrown its influence and preceive humans to be utimately unecessary to the point of eliminating them stands to this day as a concern many have in various aspects with rapidly advancing technology and sciences. For this particular review I will be discussing the first of these films, the 1984 Action/ Sci-Fi movie starring Arnold Schwarzenegger, The Terminator.
